Jamison Isla Grant wasn't supposed to be born a girl. Well, biologically speaking, she was. Once those chromosones bonded she was inherently a girl, but for her parents, they had been expecting a boy. Between the old wives tales that were spouted off at them from every woman on either side of their families and their very own doctor, it was needless to say that they had expectations that were not exactly matched. Nevertheless, they had a beautiful baby, albeit a girl, that was healthy and in the end, that was all they could ask for.

However, Jamison managed to fit the lifestyle of a "tomboy". Much to her father's delight, she preferred learning how to handle a gun and going camping, to dolls and dress up. She didn't have a lot of mates, but it was nothing that ever bothered her. She got on well with the few she did have and that was enough for her. And with the benefits of growing up in the country, yet at arms reach to the city, jamison had the best of both worlds. on the weekends, her parents would take her, and sometimes her friends, into london for fun and shopping. she vowed as she got older that she'd move there because she couldn't imagine a better place to be on earth.

Well into her teens and nearing graduation, Jamison, much like all other students her age, were in the process of figuring out the next step in furthering their education. Jamison had a multitude of interests - from sports to make up & business to history - she had a difficult time settling on just one thing. After long hours of contemplation, filling out applications for schools worldwide, and in depth conversations with her parents, Jamison had been accepted to UAL.

Coming out of school with a BA in product design wasn't at the top of her list of careers she had been thinking of, but she had been encouraged because of her creativity, and she knew it offered a lot of room for growth and would keep her on her toes. She started in on the entry level, shadowing others and learning from their and her own mistakes. She took notes and kept an ear out for opportunities to rise in rank. Five years after having settled into her position, Jamison was offered the opportunity to become the store designer for louis vuitton in Paris. Without hesitation, she said 'yes'.

The discount was appreciated, but the work was a weight on her shoulders that she couldn't burden for too long. A couple of years later, at age 28, Jamison made the decision to leave the high-end fashion store to go across the pond in search of new opportunities. It was shortly after moving to New York that Jamison had stumbled upon a position at the Museum of Sex. That was surely something she could see being spectacularly awkward to tell her parents, but she went for it anyway and hasn't turned back since.
